Lakeside Insurance Brokers is an independent insurance agency in Minnesota with offices in Burnsville and Chanhassen. Since 1990, we’ve focused on providing our clients with a choice in insurance – whether that be products, coverage or price. Being independent means we don’t answer to a larger company, we work for you. We are proud to be locally owned and operated, and give back to the communities in which we do business.

What does that mean exactly? It means we don’t work for one insurance company; we have contracts with multiple insurance companies allowing us to check prices and coverages with different companies. Since rates vary widely among companies, we can likely get you a better deal, if not better coverage, than you can get for yourself by going with a captive agent or direct to a company.

We’re local.
We are not a 1-800 so when you call our office, you’ll talk to a real person. And being independent means we are a small business in your community that enjoys giving back to organizations that provide programs and services for those in need in our backyards. We’re a one-stop shop.
We don’t just sell car insurance. We can help you with renters, condo or homeowners insurance, health insurance, business insurance and more. We are there beyond a claim.
Most of the time, you only talk to your insurance agent when you’re shopping for new coverage, rates go up or you have a claim. And while we are proud to provide service in times of need, that’s not good enough for us. We value our clients and show appreciation through special events, contests and a Referral Rewards Program.

OUR HISTORY

1990 – Lakeside Agency Inc. of Prior Lake founded as an independent insurance agency. Starting with access to just six companies, Lakeside Agency grew over the years by giving consumers a choice between insurance companies, coverages and rates.

1999 – Brock Fluegge, future owner of Lakeside Agency, is licensed to sell insurance while in college at the University of Minnesota – Duluth.

2008 – Lakeside Agency is acquired by Brock Fluegge, a young agent with entrepreneurial spirit. Lakeside Agency changes its name to Lakeside Insurance Brokers, Inc.

2013 – Lakeside Insurance moves its office after purchasing a new office “condo” in Burnsville with room to grow.

2014 – Lakeside continues to grow by purchasing Peterson Insurance Agency, Inc. based out of Chaska.

2015 – Lakeside opens a satellite office in Chanhassen.

2017 – Lakeside acquires Lade Insurance Agency, Ltd. in Burnsville.
